Medical Services Liaison

At Med Supply US, we are seeking a skilled Healthcare Intake Specialist to facilitate the intake process for patients seeking medical services. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Greet Patients and Visitors
Welcome patients and visitors to our facility with a courteous and welcoming demeanor.
- Collect Patient Information
Accurately collect patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance coverage, using electronic medical record systems.
- Verify Insurance Coverage
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage details, including copayments, deductibles, and any pre-authorizations required for services.
- Explain Financial Responsibilities
Clearly explain financial responsibilities to patients and assist them in understanding insurance benefits and billing procedures.
- Coordinate Appointments
Coordinate appointments and referrals for patients with various healthcare providers or departments within the facility.
- Complete Paperwork
Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Confidentiality
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Answer Phone Calls
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Education
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Experience
Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient intake or registration.
- Technical Skills
Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other healthcare software.
- Communication Skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Organizational Skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing processes, and regulatory requirements.
