About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting practices, with a strong proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, managing tax filings, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Financial Operations: Oversee the entire accounting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Conduct Audits and Reviews: Conduct monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Administer Accounts: Administer accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient processing, payment of invoices, and collection of revenue.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, both federal and state, and ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and monitor internal controls and policies to ensure financial data integrity and security.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial practices.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights and analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and optimize accounting software and systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting: Provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting for U.S. companies. Proficiency in financial accounting software, with a strong preference for experience in QuickBooks, is also required. A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the U.S. and experience with financial statement preparation are essential. Fluency in English is mandatory, as well as an ability to commit long-term and work full-time.
