Backend Software Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development group, you will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining robust backend software solutions.

  • Develop high-quality, scalable software that meets the needs of our users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Own the full software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and high standards of quality and performance.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for rapid, reliable deployments.
Infrastructure & DevOps Expertise
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using CDK, Terraform, Docker, and AWS.
  • Develop automation solutions to streamline deployments, system configuration, and monitoring.
  • Manage user access controls, permissions, and infrastructure-level security across environments.
  • Experiment with agentic workflows and AI-driven operations tooling to enhance infrastructure scalability and efficiency.
Monitoring, Observability & Reliability
  • Implement monitoring systems using AWS CloudWatch, Sentry, and Jira Service Management.
  • Track application health and system reliability.
  • Define alerts, logs, and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve performance or availability issues.
  • Respond to incidents in production environments and conduct post-incident reviews.
Security Focus
  • Apply security best practices across code, infrastructure, and deployments.
  • Collaborate to uphold compliance and system integrity.
  • Stay current with emerging AI-related security considerations and tools.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend development focus.
  • Proven experience with infrastructure and DevOps, including CI/CD, automation, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
