Remote Accounting Professional

We are seeking a meticulous finance professional to support our U.S.-based client in managing billing and collections.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely payments, accurate records, and clear communication with vendors and customers.

  • Meticulous: Maintains precision in invoicing, reconciliations, and data entry.
  • Problem Solver: Uses critical thinking to resolve billing discrepancies and account issues.
  • Customer-Focused: Communicates clearly and courteously with internal teams and external clients.
  • Organized & Timely: Manages tasks efficiently and meets tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Proactive: Follows through on tasks independently and escalates issues when needed.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating accounting software and Excel with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter information received from prospective clients and process credit applications through appropriate agencies.
  • Request and process prepayments on sales orders.
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts for customers with outstanding balances or new orders.
  • Apply check or credit card prepayments to the appropriate accounts.
  • Verify and resolve account discrepancies by obtaining and reviewing information from customer care and customers.
  • Research and process credit memos and adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer communications and collections activities.
  • Assist in monthly closing and AR-related reporting tasks.
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Resolve discrepancies between vendor bills and payments by collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Verify terms, payment methods, and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain vendor records, ensuring all information is up to date.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and provide solutions as needed.
  • Perform other accounting duties related to accounts payable as assigned.
