Component Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in electronics and electrical engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. They should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

The Component Engineer will be responsible for managing the component database, ensuring that components used are high quality, reliable, and cost-effective. This includes reviewing supplier PCNs, maintaining data integrity, and managing the iPro system. Additionally, they will conduct regular data analysis to drive continuous improvement and development of the Preferred Part List.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  2. At least 3 years relevant experience.
  3. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  4. Basic component knowledge of magnetics.
  5. Self-motivated, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to interface with suppliers and coordinate with global design teams.
