Accounting is a critical function that requires the skills and expertise to ensure financial records are accurate, reliable and compliant with regulatory requirements.

About the Role

This position plays a key role in maintaining our organization's financial integrity by preparing reports, managing general ledgers, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update general ledgers to accurately record all transactions.
  • Assist with the preparation of ad hoc and monthly reporting as required.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g. GAAP or IFRS) and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the AP and AR departments to report on payables and receivables, including days outstanding calculations.

You will also be responsible for performing bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost control.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for regulatory reporting purposes.
  • Manage the AP Team's credit card processing and refinements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Proven experience in general accounting or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (i.e. Oracle NetSuite preferred) and MS Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
