Database Administrator Role

The Database Administrator position requires a high degree of technical expertise and strategic thinking. This individual will be responsible for the core infrastructure that powers a global SaaS platform, supporting thousands of companies worldwide in real-time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and optimizing MariaDB clusters and MaxScale load balancers ensures high availability.
  • Administering Ubuntu Linux servers on Azure VMs includes patching, tuning, and automation.
  • Managing and optimizing Azure resources involves traffic management, load balancing, and networking.

This team member will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a MySQL or Maria DBA in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Strong skills in MariaDB clustering and replication are preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Azure administration is essential.
  • Performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery knowledge are crucial.

Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform is also beneficial.
