About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join our team at AS White Global. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing data, maintaining records, processing payments, and assisting with clerical tasks. Your duties will also involve handling inquiries, reconciling accounts, and supporting various departments as the company grows.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update data in spreadsheets and reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and monitor a shared mailbox, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Ensure records and reports are accurate and up-to-date, utilizing your analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including answering phone calls, preparing documents, and providing administrative support.
  • Process and prepare vendor payments, verifying accuracy and timely execution.
  • Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Reconcile customer accounts with company records, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
  • Be adaptable and willing to take on additional tasks and responsibilities across departments, supporting the company's growth and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field, demonstrating strong academic achievement.
  • 2 to 5 years of payroll experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, engaging and influencing stakeholders through clear and concise messaging.
  • Experience with Xero Accounting Software is a plus, but not required.
