Financial Accounting Specialist

As a skilled financial accounting specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving process improvements.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness, investigating any discrepancies that may arise.
  • Daily Reconciliations: Complete daily reconciliations across multiple entities to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Control Account Reconciliation: Reconcile control accounts (AP, AR, Intercompany etc.) across multiple entities, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain general ledger accounts and perform month-end/year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Fixed Asset Register: Maintain the fixed asset register for a number of entities, accurately recording and depreciating assets as required.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure timely delivery of month-end close activities, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive process improvements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to process improvements around reconciliation practices, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.
  • Audit Support: Provide support to internal and external audit requests related to reconciliations and ledger balances, demonstrating your expertise and professionalism.
  • System Upgrades: Participate in system upgrades or transitions that impact reconciliation processes, adapting to change and driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration Across Departments: Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management, providing insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a global company.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines, with strong communication skills in English.
