Job Title: Financial Governance Specialist

Job Description:

The role of Financial Governance Specialist involves overseeing financial management and accounting functions to ensure accuracy, accountability, and compliance across multiple projects and entities.

This includes supporting the overall financial planning and budgeting process, checking the accuracy of financials used in donor reporting, and ensuring compliance with donor agreements and internal financial policies.

Additionally, the Financial Governance Specialist will oversee bookkeeping, including transaction recording, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management, as well as manage governance, transparency, and reporting for the Social Business Fund.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee financial management and accounting functions
  • Support financial planning and budgeting process
  • Ensure compliance with donor agreements and internal policies
  • Manage bookkeeping and financial records
  • Manage governance, transparency, and reporting for the Social Business Fund

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management, accounting, or similar role. The candidate should also have strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls, and compliance framework, as well as advanced analytical and communication skills.
