Job Overview

The Cost Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed budgets for new projects, reviewing proposals from other groups, and ensuring that the budget is within approved limits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Preparation
    • Prepare comprehensive financial plans for new projects, taking into account special project requirements based on design conceptual plans.
    • Analyze and review budget proposals from other groups in terms of scope, specifications, and cost.
  • Liaison with Suppliers/Contractors
    • Establish relationships with suppliers and contractors to secure specific materials/items based on estimated listed items on the budget.
  • Cost Control
    • Verify that created budgets are within approved parameters; if not, propose options for value engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Preferably Licensed Engineer
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in estimating, costing, bidding, and quantity surveying related to Electrical and Auxiliary works
  • Knowledge in billing evaluation, processing, change order variation, and contract administration
