Data Operations Specialist

This role is a key part of our Data Operations Team, based in Manila, responsible for data quality oversight, project management and ad-hoc requests.

  • Manage and maintain data dictionaries and collection manuals.
  • Support senior staff with managing data collection tools.
  • Perform defined processes to ensure superior data quality at all times.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance with strong programming skills, or Computer Science. A minimum of 4-7 years' experience in data analysis or management is required.

Key skills include problem-solving, understanding business user requirements, designing technical solutions, writing documentation and conducting user training. Proficiency in SQL queries, databases and MS Excel VBA programming is essential.

A strong work ethic and personal drive to achieve project goals are vital. Knowledge of the US mutual fund industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business teams to define data methodology and coverage.
  • Work with project managers to establish project plans and prioritise roadmaps.
  • Develop sustainable database schema to support business growth, working closely with the technology team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance with strong programming skills, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 4-7 years' experience in data analysis or management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand business user requirements.
  • Proficiency in SQL queries, databases and MS Excel VBA programming.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the US mutual fund industry.
  • Python experience.

We offer a dayshift schedule and hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days' work onsite per week) in Makati City.
