Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Author to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and creating authored specification content in the Chorus Authoring Platform (CAP).

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a construction-related discipline and ideally 5 years of relevant experience in Architecture, M&E, Landscape, or any related field. Strong knowledge and understanding of industry Standards and Building regulations are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing existing authored specification content and updating or restructuring it to ensure alignment with changes in standards, building codes, industry practice, and technologies.
  • Creating new authored specification content to reflect changes in standards, building codes, industry practice, and technologies.
  • Ensuring feedback from customers is considered and assessed to support or influence changes and development to specification content.
  • Researching technical issues and developments, liaising as necessary with standards, regulations, and other publishers, professional associations, research organizations, trade organizations, manufacturers, consultants, and subscribers.
  • Ensuring specification content aligns with the relevant classification, such as Uniclass, CAWS, USMS, and/or Archifyspec.
  • Supporting the research and development of new specification content sets as required in accordance with the company strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required for this role:

  • A degree in a construction-related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in Architecture, M&E, Landscape, or any related field, preferably with 5 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of industry Standards and Building regulations.
  • Prior experience working with the UK market is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setup and start training immediately.
  • Must be willing to work a day shift (10 AM – 7 PM, Manila Time).
