As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring seamless financial operations. This position involves processing and reconciling financial transactions, preparing instructions for payment, and verifying the accuracy of fund valuations.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare instructions to custodian for payment of fund expenses and ensure all relevant payments are made in a timely manner.
- Reconcile daily transactions, including cash, investments, and expenses, and perform various monthly reconciliations when required.
- Assist with preparation of BAS returns and monthly property and fund management reports.
- Provide support for ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
For this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant with 3+ years of experience (preferably in Funds Management). You should possess strong accounting principles knowledge and high proficiency in Excel and Xero. Detail-oriented individuals with excellent accuracy and organizational skills are ideal candidates for this position. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with client-service orientation and familiarity with compliance requirements, including AML/CTF, are also essential.
