Job Overview

The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native systems that meet ambitious SLAs. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality systems and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports DevSecOps tools, pipeline automation, and infrastructure-as-code scripts; continuously monitors the industry landscape to improve speed to market and team autonomy.
  • Executes established automation for updates, participates in incident response, root cause/postmortem analysis, and drives production improvements for key issues.
  • Provides guidance on enabling end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services.
  • Works on automating processes to eliminate waste and manual tasks, prevent problem recurrence, and respond to service alerts and condition metrics.
  • Supports Kubernetes clusters in Azure and AWS, including cluster management, upgrades, security policies, and application deployment.
  • Executes and manages infrastructure-as-code automation with Terraform.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure operations concepts in AWS and Azure, IT tools (monitoring, logging, alerting, etc.).
  • Strategic problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and decision-making with a sense of urgency; demonstrated experience in a production environment.
  • Desire to measure and continuously improve with a metrics-and-reporting mindset.
  • Experience building, maintaining, monitoring, logging, and optimizing cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes environments (AKS/EKS), scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and patterns; Data DevOps, DevSecOps.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-centric focus; ability to establish relationships and influence colleagues at all levels.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Typical requirement: 3 years of work experience across infrastructure and software engineering.
