Cloud-Native Data Engineer Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of cloud-native data platforms from the ground up, working alongside top cloud and data experts.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and operating cutting-edge data infrastructure, leveraging innovative technologies to drive business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. They will also have hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.

Additionally, the successful candidate will possess strong scripting skills in languages like Python or Bash, as well as experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and operate cloud-native data platforms using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Collaborate with the team to design technical architecture for data ingestion, processing, storage, query, visualization, security, and governance.
  • Implement and integrate data platform components, such as Kafka, NiFi, Airflow, Spark, Flink, Iceberg, Trino, Superset, and dbt.
  • Build and operate CI/CD systems and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD).
  • Research and propose new technologies to optimize performance and enhance the product.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in DataOps, DevOps, Platform Engineer, or Data Engineer roles.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience deploying or operating at least some data platform services.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python or Bash).
  • Experience with CI/CD and GitOps (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD).
  • Basic understanding of data pipelines and data engineering concepts.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in designing or operating data lakehouses/data warehouses.
  • Experience providing managed services for enterprise customers.
  • Knowledge of data security (IAM, RBAC, TLS, Network Policy, etc.).
  • Relevant certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD) or Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
