Project Estimator - Packaging Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our team as a Packaging Specialist. This role involves providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for folding carton packaging projects, analyzing packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities, and collaborating with sales, production, and design teams to determine job scope and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation: Utilize historical cost data and supplier pricing to prepare quotes, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in the market.
  • Analysis and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Support customer inquiries with technical and cost-related input, maintaining excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Estimating Experience: Proven experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects, with a strong understanding of printing processes and materials.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools, as well as working knowledge of color matching and other relevant technologies.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical abilities, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
