Revenue Cycle Management Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Revenue Cycle Management professional to join our team.

Job Description

As a Revenue Cycle Management Associate, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments, denials, and adjustments from insurance, patients, and third-party payers within set timelines. This includes performing daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliation and ensuring alignment with internal records and bank statements.

You will also monitor and manage unapplied payments, provider-level balances, and refund requests. Additionally, you will balance and verify payment batches and ensure they match remittance advices and bank deposits.

In this role, you will investigate and resolve discrepancies or posting errors by coordinating with other departments or payers. You will interpret and apply Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) data for accurate payment processing.

Furthermore, you will process and post credit card transactions securely and in compliance with industry standards. You will generate reports on cash posting activity and identify trends, issues, or improvement opportunities.

This position requires strong attention to detail and data accuracy. You will maintain clear and professional communication with team members, clients, insurance carriers, and patients regarding payment matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in the US healthcare revenue cycle, with exposure to payment posting, cash reconciliation, and EOB interpretation
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Practice Management Systems (e.g., Avatar, Catalyst, PCMS, Therap, Rethink)
  • Familiarity with RCM and payment platforms (e.g., Ability/Inovalon, Netsmart)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and payment card industry (PCI) data security standards
  • Experience working with multi-state payers and large-scale healthcare providers
