In this role, you will be responsible for proposing network expansion and reliability projects, analyzing drainage and topographic maps, and conducting hydraulic simulations or creating hydraulic models.

About the Role:

  • Propose network expansion and reliability projects to improve the efficiency of our wastewater collection system.
  • Analyze drainage and topographic maps to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct hydraulic simulations or create hydraulic models to optimize water flow through our networks.
  • Develop and recommend flow projection/forecasts to inform operational decisions.
  • Establish metrics to measure WW Collection System efficiency.
  • Update GIS Catchment Boundaries, Sewer and Drainage Network.
  • Evaluate and recommend in the Wastewater Masterplan and System Projects from conceptualization to implementation.
  • Validate and Consolidate proposed Operational Targets and Budget by Grid Facilities concerning Network Operations (Flow and Sewer Coverage Targets, and Network Cleaning).
  • Create programs to determine actual network condition or performance such as Annual Network ACR/CCTV Program.
  • Provide technical evaluation as part of the requirements in the procurement of Service Level Agreements for resource needs of wastewater operations concerning Network Operations and Reliability.
  • Craft new, improves existing, and implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) concerning Network and Pump Stations for the division or within the department.
  • Conduct Network and Pump Station Design-related Trainings, such as sewer network design and simulation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Civil, Sanitary, or Mechanical) or equivalent technical-vocational course and passed the corresponding board/certification exam.
  • At least 3 years of experience in water and sewer systems design, and/or operations.
  • Working knowledge and experience in the use of modelling software (preferably on hydraulic systems).
  • Excellent investigative, analytical, and research skills.
  • Intermediate level competency in MS Excel
