ShiftCam seeks 2 experienced iOS Developers to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge camera app.

  • Position: iOS Developer (Core Video & Camera Systems)
  • Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level

This role involves leading the development of real-time video capture, processing, and recording functionalities using AVFoundation. The successful candidate will collaborate with advanced Apple frameworks to deliver high-performance video solutions for filmmakers, creators, and professionals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement core video and camera functionalities using AVFoundation.
  2. Develop real-time video capture pipelines with manual controls (ISO, shutter, focus, white balance).
  3. Optimize video recording in ProRes, H.264/265, and other high-quality formats.
  4. Implement performance-critical features like histograms, zebras, and focus peaking overlays.
  5. Work with Core Image or Metal for real-time video filtering and processing.
  6. Collaborate with the UI/UX Developer to integrate core camera features into the app interface.
  7. Debug, optimize, and profile the app to ensure smooth, low-latency performance.
Key Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Swift or Objective-C.
  • Familiarity with Core Image or similar image processing libraries.
  • Understanding of camera hardware controls for iOS devices.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based file uploads and workflows.
