Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Real Estate Collections Specialist. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, experience using financial software, and the ability to handle collections calls with professionalism.

This role involves contacting customers with outstanding balances, recording interactions and outcomes, analyzing Accounts Receivable (AR) data, and taking appropriate actions to reduce delinquent accounts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contact customers from a provided list to collect overdue payments and update payment statuses.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, including contact dates and results.
  • Analyze AR data in QuickBooks to identify overdue accounts and prioritize follow-ups.
  • Record collection efforts in a spreadsheet as per company training and guidelines.
  • Follow up with customers red-flagged for aging outstanding balances and encourage timely payments.
  • Refer customers for service termination when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Work closely with the finance team to report progress and issues.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills for professional communication.
  • Experience in collections, customer service, or accounts receivable is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
  • Detail-oriented and able to accurately document customer interactions.
  • Ability to work independently while following established policies and procedures.
