High-Performance Cloud Architect

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve critical system failures, network outages, and performance issues as the final escalation point for complex server, hosting, and network-related problems.
  • Cloud Administration: Manage, optimize, and secure cloud-based hosting environments; administer web servers, databases, and caching layers.
  • Automation & DevOps: Develop automation scripts for server provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Terraform.
  • Virtualization: Deploy and manage KVM, OpenStack, VMware, or containerized environments such as Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices including firewall rules, SELinux/AppArmor, IDS/IPS, and perform vulnerability assessments and patch management.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Set up monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, and participate in on-call rotation for urgent system issues.
  • Collaboration & Mentoring: Work with NOC, DevOps, and Engineering teams, providing guidance and mentorship to support engineers.
Requirements:
  • 11+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience in a web hosting or cloud environment.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role.
  • Expert knowledge of web hosting technologies, scripting abilities, networking expertise, and familiarity with RAID, SAN, NAS, and distributed storage systems.
  • Ability to build and configure servers from the ground up and good English communication skills.
