Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Security Engineer to bolster our security posture by implementing key security controls and processes. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Compliance as Code (CaC), and hands-on expertise in Terraform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, Implement, and Maintain Cloud-Native Infrastructure
  • Drive automation efforts that improve efficiency, reliability, and visibility of security controls
  • Sustain Automation Solutions Using Programming Languages
  • Oversee source control and branching strategies using GitLab or similar platforms to support collaborative development and maintain code integrity
  • Implement Controlled and Auditable Infrastructure Changes
  • Automate security and compliance processes as part of broader DevSecOps initiatives, embed automation into CI/CD pipelines to enforce security best practices and ensure continuous validation of infrastructure and application code
  • Utilize Configuration Management Tools
  • Proactively assess, adopt, and integrate emerging technologies and tools to strengthen cloud infrastructure and advance security automation capabilities
  • Deliver Clear Documentation and Technical Guidance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in automation, cloud computing, and DevSecOps practices to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
  • Over 5 years of practical experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on building, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure across diverse environments following security best practices
  • Applied knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) and their role in the HTTP request/response cycle to improve application security and resiliency
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architectures and foundational security principles across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms
  • Deep expertise in Terraform, encompassing module development, reusable architecture patterns, and adherence to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
  • Experience with Git and branch/merge strategies
  • Experience in Python, Go, or Java, with demonstrated capability in developing and integrating robust automation solutions for security and infrastructure workflows
  • Skilled in leveraging CI/CD platforms to embed security controls into the software development lifecycle, ensuring continuous compliance and quality assurance
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Puppet to enforce system consistency and automate provisioning across environments
  • Working knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for scalable deployments
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, and respond to risks and exception requests effectively
  • Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing security and infrastructure operations
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and efficient completion of objectives
