Senior Tax AccountantAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This role involves assisting clients with the preparation of financial and management accounting reports, as well as providing support in identifying and resolving issues related to franking accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare compliance jobs for the trial balance stage
  • Identify franking account issues such as franking deficit tax and penalties
  • Review client-prepared BAS/IAS and assist with amendments
  • Resolve basic problems arising in client financial statements
  • Prepare and analyse accounts, income tax returns, company annual returns, Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefit Tax returns and notices of assessment
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience with a Chartered Accounting Firm
  • Experience with Australian accounting, taxation and clients
  • Expertise in preparing financial statements and annual tax returns for multiple clients
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Comprehension of accounting and taxation concepts and willingness to develop practical application of this knowledge
