Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

The role of the Senior Data Engineer is multifaceted and requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, especially Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, and Big Query.

This position involves working closely with various stakeholder groups to deliver data-driven solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization.

  • Data Pipeline Management: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipeline infrastructure that enables efficient data discovery and processing.\
  • Data Quality and Trust: This role will involve acting as a data custodian, ensuring the sourcing, preparation, and delivery of high-quality data to support business decisions.\
  • Machine Learning and Analytics: The Senior Data Engineer will build and deploy machine learning and analytics models into production, driving insights and informed decision-making.\
  • Technology Advancement: This position will focus on improving technology and infrastructure to facilitate faster data collection and analysis.\
  • Architecture Alignment: The Senior Data Engineer will continuously align architecture with changing business requirements, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.\
  • Expertise and Skills: A degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, or Data Science (desired) along with expertise in ETL, Big Data pipeline, and diverse data modeling techniques are essential for this role.\
  • Communication and Collaboration: Superior communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams are critical for success in this position.

  • Degree qualified in Business Analytics, Engineering, Data Science (Desirable)\
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, especially Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Big Query\

  • High level understanding of design patterns\
  • Expertise with a diverse range of data modelling techniques\
  • Superior communication skills and ability to work as part of cross functional teams
