About the Role
  • This position requires a skilled communicator who can effectively engage with developers and other stakeholders to promote our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain active participation in online communities, forums, and social media platforms to build and nurture relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance the developer experience.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality technical documentation, tutorials, and guides that cater to the needs of developers.
  • Present at conferences, meetups, and workshops to showcase our expertise and build brand awareness.
Requirements
  • Strong background in software development or a related field, with a proven track record of engaging with open-source communities.
  • Familiarity with Linux software packaging, including Snaps, debs, charms, rocks, PIP, and containers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse contexts.
  • Experience in creating engaging content, such as blog posts, articles, and presentations.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience in a developer advocacy or community role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ubuntu and the Canonical ecosystem of products.
Additional Information
  • The ideal candidate will be able to travel globally up to twice a year for company events and industry conferences.
