Medical Scheduling Professional

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented medical scheduling professional to join our team, specializing in family medicine and internal medicine support. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients over the phone, schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, and maintain accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and courteous greetings to callers and address their needs promptly.
  • Schedule primary care appointments, including annual exams, chronic care follow-ups, acute visits, and preventive screenings.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, including co-pays, deductibles, and network status.
  • Maintain and update patient records accurately.
  • Assist with patient portal setup and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding test results, referrals, and follow-up instructions in alignment with practice policies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine or internal medicine.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, including scheduling, documentation, and communication features.
  • Strong knowledge of primary care visit types, referral processes, and insurance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in family medicine/internal medicine scheduling protocol.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification and referral coordination.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm EST. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
