Job Overview

The Project Director leads the product development and business enhancement process, driving projects from conception to launch and beyond. This role focuses on strategic planning, leadership, and platform/feature improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive plans for Engineering and Business, encompassing third-party integrations, marketplace growth, eCommerce technology, and business projects.
  • Leadership: Manage business projects across the organization, ensuring successful project completion and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Platform & Feature Enhancement: Act as a change agent to streamline and automate processes, continuously improving platform and toolset features.
Requirements Gathering & Development Lifecycle
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholders to gather product requirements and feedback.
  • Product Definition: Capture high-level product requirements and translate into detailed, actionable tasks.
  • Business Solutions: Collaborate with Business Departments to design and develop technology-based process improvements.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PM & PROBLEM RESOLUTION
  • Business & Technology Workflow Enhancement: Understand business and technology workflows to improve project outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve conflicts, priorities, and roadblocks to enable the team to achieve goals.
  • Technical Understanding & Advocacy: Work with the business to understand the platform, its integrations and features, and bridge technical capabilities with business needs.
  • Business Re-engineering: Manage technology development efforts while supporting business re-engineering and automation initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) and at least 5 years of related PM experience, ideally with eCommerce knowledge.
  • eCommerce Platform Expertise: Understanding of eCommerce platforms, ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Databases, and reporting platforms.
  • Product Documentation: Ability to document product requirements with sufficient knowledge and clarity for technical teams.
  • Requirements Analysis: Experience performing thorough requirements analysis through independent research and testing methodologies.
  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency with Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar PM tools.
  • Methodology Acumen: Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, GAP Analysis, SWOT, and related methodologies.
