Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to lead the migration from Oracle to Postgres for our microservices architecture. The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to ensure proper implementation of containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, specifically Spring Boot, and knowledge of Google Cloud services. They will be responsible for developing well-defined interfaces and APIs for microservices communication, optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability, and implementing effective monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions.

Candidates must be able to work independently and lead junior developers. Experience in Dynatrace or other monitoring tools is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate Oracle databases to Postgres
  • Implement microservices architecture
  • Develop APIs for microservices communication
  • Containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Java development and knowledge of Spring Boot
  • Experience in CI/CD with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
  • General knowledge of Google Cloud services
  • Secrets, Secret Manager, VMs, Workloads, port forwarding, containers, Kubernetes, PODs
  • Experience in Oracle database and PLSQL, Node.js, and OPA is a plus
