The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on Android components and a proven track record of building or contributing to successful Android apps. They should also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and be passionate about delivering high-quality user experiences.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning major features and collaborating with the design team to deliver high-quality features inside the app.
  • Shaping the future of the Android team.
  • Ensuring reliability metrics for key features are maintained and improved.
  • Participating in cross-team discussions – Product, Design, Engineering.
  • Reviewing pull requests and supporting other teammates.
  • Handling critical issues or unexpected challenges.
  • Taking ownership of feature releases and providing nightly builds for the QA team.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of the importance of testing and how to write tests.
  • Self-drive to improve the app and codebase beyond the spec.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills and a user-oriented problem-solving approach.
