Job Overview:

This position is responsible for overseeing live surveillance of all monitored sites. The Security Camera Monitor plays a critical role in preventing loss, ensuring safety, and maintaining compliance across monitored properties.

The monitor reviews staff activity proactively, initiates action against employees who leave facilities during shifts, identifies violations of law or policy, and ensures proper staffing coverage by initiating calls for replacement staff when absences occur.

The monitor also controls door access at high-security facilities, providing an additional layer of security.

  • Monitor live feeds from multiple facilities
  • Initiate disciplinary action as needed with supervisory approval
  • Document unauthorized staff departures and clock out employees who remain on the clock
  • Manage entrance/exit points and provide door access for staff and authorized visitors at secure locations
  • Observe for incidents such as theft, physical altercations, medical emergencies, or behavioral issues and escalate accordingly
  • Monitor designated areas including medication storage, cash handling, and food supplies
  • Track scheduled shifts and initiate calls for replacement staff when personnel are absent or fail to report
  • Record all incidents, observations, and enforcement actions in a daily log
  • Notify supervisors immediately of suspected abuse, neglect, theft, or policy breaches
