Job Title: Software Test Automation Specialist

About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled software test automation specialist. In this role, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of automation frameworks and best practices to develop and implement robust test automation solutions.

You will work independently within our established automation framework to tackle challenging yet well-defined automation tasks. Your role requires leveraging your understanding of specialized testing principles and methodologies to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test automation scripts for various functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Lead the planning of testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment with project goals.
  • Test Case Development: Independently design, develop, and implement automated test strategies and test cases with minimal supervision.
  • Debugging: Use debugging techniques to identify root causes of complex issues uncovered through automated testing.
  • Bug Reporting: Accurately document bugs with essential details, using the bug tracking system effectively.
  • Version Control (Git): Manage and track changes in code repositories efficiently.
  • Programming Languages: Utilize intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, TypeScript) to write test scripts or understand code for test automation.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain high attention to detail to identify even minor issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyze root causes of defects found during testing and make recommendations to prevent similar problems in the future.
  • Communication Skills: Report issues effectively and collaborate with the development team.
  • Automation Strategy: Identify opportunities for automation within assigned testing areas, propose enhancements to the overall automation strategy, and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in automation testing tools and best practices.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be responsible for documentation, continuous improvement, and team collaboration to ensure test coverage aligns with business goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, TypeScript)
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools
  • Strong understanding of specialized testing principles and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and identify root causes
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality results
