Overview

Our team is seeking a talented and experienced developer to join our backend team. We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with our lead developer to implement high-quality features and functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent coding skills, and the ability to follow established coding styles and conventions.

Key responsibilities include implementing backend services and features using Node.js and JavaScript based on provided specifications, conducting thorough manual QA and testing of implemented features before submission, and collaborating with the lead engineer to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to our engineering standards, participating in code reviews, debugging and troubleshooting issues methodically and thoroughly, and documenting implementation details and testing procedures as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and Node.js
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality
  • Excellent ability to follow established coding styles and conventions
  • Proven track record of implementing features based on written requirements and specifications
  • Experience with manual QA and testing methodologies
  • Strong reading comprehension and the ability to ask clarifying questions
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
  • Self-motivated and effective in a remote-work environment
