Job Title: Business Intelligence Specialist

  • Support internal analyses and generate insights from data to inform business decisions by utilizing statistical modeling and experimental design concepts.
  • Communicate insights clearly through reports, dashboards, and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support client meetings as a subject-matter expert while primarily focused on internal analysis and insights.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and R programming languages is essential for success in this role.
  • Applied expertise in statistical modeling and experimental design such as sampling, confidence intervals, agreement metrics is crucial.
  • Experience working with moderate-to-large datasets with the ability to scale analyses as data volume grows is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) visualization tools like Looker Studio, Sisense, Tableau, or Power BI is required.
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud data environments preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to convey insights clearly through reports, dashboards, and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable supporting client meetings as a subject-matter expert while primarily focused on internal analysis and insights.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quantitative role such as Analytics consultant, Quantitative Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar with proven ability to navigate ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field OR equivalent practical experience is required.
  • SQL knowledge must include proficiency in using SQL to query, manipulate, and manage data within relational databases.
  • Statistical Knowledge: solid understanding of statistical concepts such as probability, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
  • Database and Data Warehousing: knowledge of different database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and concepts like data warehousing and ETL processes is important for managing large datasets.
  • Oral and written comprehension and appropriate use of language is necessary.
