Job Description

As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the entire product development lifecycle, from supplier management to packaging development. This role requires strong organizational skills and agility to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, including communication, sample sourcing, pricing negotiation, and timeline management.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses for new and ongoing products, using Excel or Google Sheets to ensure profitable outcomes.
  • Product Development Support: Work closely with the product development team to understand product requirements and ensure that activities align with product development timelines and budgets.
  • Sourcing New Suppliers: Identify and source new suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Timeline Management: Manage timelines and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all new products launched per season.
  • Contract Negotiation: Ensure production teams conduct contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Ensure all internal documents are up-to-date at all times for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Internal & External Communication: Provide clear and timely communication with all internal stakeholders for updates, decisions, and deadlines. Provide clear and timely communication with all external stakeholders to provide clear direction and receive regular updates.
  • Packaging Development: Collaborate with internal designers and external suppliers to develop high-quality packaging solutions.


Requirements

Experience in Product Development is essential, with 2+ years of experience required. Desirable experience in Beauty, Hair Goods, or Hair Accessories is preferred. Strong analytical skills, with experience in Financial Analysis and Data Analysis using Excel or Google Sheets, are also necessary. Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, are crucial. Additionally, proficiency in software tools like Asana is a plus. English language proficiency is a must.
