Reliable Systems Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Reliability Engineer to maintain the stability and scalability of our systems. As a key member of our team, you will proactively identify system bottlenecks and implement best practices to prevent downtime and ensure high availability.

With a passion for automation and process improvement, you will create scripts to automate tasks, develop monitoring systems, and set up alerts to address issues promptly. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential in this role.

Required qualifications:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or similar role.
Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including experience with database design, performance tuning, and advanced querying techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like AWS CDK.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or SigNoz.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or Typescript.
  • Proven ability to design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to debug complex issues in a distributed system and identify root causes.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects with minimal oversight.
