Job Title: Digital Media Content Creator
\We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Digital Media Content Creator. In this role, you will be responsible for producing engaging news-focused content across various social media platforms.
\Your primary objective will be to create high-quality, short-form videos and written content that resonates with online communities. You will research trending topics, conduct fact-checking to ensure accuracy, and frame compelling angles for news stories.
\You will also be responsible for scripting and creating a narrative flow that engages audiences, writing captivating captions, headlines, and hooks optimized for different platforms, and staying updated on social media trends and viral content formats.
\Additionally, you will transform editorial articles into concise, engaging video content tailored to each platform's best practices, monitor video performance metrics to refine content strategy, and improve engagement.

- Create engaging, news-focused short-form videos and written content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.\
- Research trending topics and conduct fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility.\
- Frame compelling angles for news stories, scripting and creating a narrative flow that resonates with audiences.\
- Write engaging captions, headlines, and hooks optimized for different platforms.\
- Stay updated on social media trends and viral content formats to ensure content remains relevant and competitive.\
- Transform editorial articles into concise, engaging video content tailored to each platform's best practices.\
- Monitor video performance metrics to refine content strategy and improve engagement.\
- Respond to comments and messages to build and maintain a strong connection with the audience.\
- Work closely with the editorial team to align content with the company's editorial tone and mission.\
- Cordinate with designers or video editors for any ad hoc content enhancement, if necessary.\
- Diploma/Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field preferred.\
- Prior experience in content creation, social media management, or digital journalism is an advantage.\
- Familiar with social media platforms, their audiences, and content trends (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook).\
- Proficiency in video editing and design software (Capcut, Canva, or equivalent)\
- Ability to research and analyse news and factual information, with strong skills in fact-checking and distilling insights into clear, audience-friendly stories.\
- Comfortable crafting concise, impactful narratives that bring news and facts to life in social-first video formats.\
- Keen sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition with interest in current affairs, news, and social issues.\
- Creative thinker with a strong sense of what resonates with digital audiences.\
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.\
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with creative teams.\
- A portfolio/reel showcasing editing skills and social-first video content is required.\
