Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Australian taxation regulations, compliance, and strategies, as well as proficiency in key software tools.

About the Role

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and managing tax accounts, working papers, and annual tax returns for clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate financial statements, working papers, and tax returns in compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations.
  • Utilizing accounting software for financial accounts and tax returns.
  • Managing client data and documentation via OneDrive and Outlook.
  • Demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex tax issues while collaborating with client managers and accountants.

Qualifications/Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • CPA, CA, or tax-specific qualifications.
  • Experience with other Australian accounting standards.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Australian tax accounting, with proven expertise in tax compliance, regulations, and strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software, Xero Practice Manager, OneDrive, Outlook, and Excel for reporting and data management.
