Senior Backend Software Engineer Wanted

About the Role

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and enhancing our products using microservices architecture. You'll work closely with a cross-functional distributed team in an agile methodology, participating in release and sprint planning.

  • Refine and deliver product requirements with minimum support.
  • Work with a cross-functional distributed team in an agile methodology.
  • Participate in release and sprint planning.
  • Write clean, well-organised code, while making appropriate trade-offs between performance, robustness, extensibility.
  • Support production systems on a shared roster basis.
  • Work closely with other developers, pair-programming, reviewing pull requests, and contributing incremental improvements to code and coding practices.
  • Mentor and support junior developers.
  • Able to understand and write infrastructure as a code.

What You Need:

  • Experience in multiple languages such as Node.js (mandatory) & Typescript.
  • Understand microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
  • AWS experience across one or more of the following EC2, Kinesis, SQS, ElastiCache, Lambda, and S3.
    • Competent with database technologies (e.g.RDMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL like DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB).
      • Understand code testability, build pipelines, Docker and CI/CD systems.
      • Keep up with best practices, latest technologies and programming languages/frameworks as needed.
      • Liaise and work with product, and other technology and delivery teams to deliver high quality software solutions.
