Job Overview

This role involves leading and implementing technical decisions and efforts of a software engineering team, overseeing the development of high-quality software products, and enhancing existing software platforms.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in leadership roles. They must be proficient in multiple languages, full-stack development, modern architectures, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a creative and cohesive unit capable of delivering complex software projects
  • Coordinate with scrum masters, project managers, and other software engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web-based and desktop applications
  • Provide technical leadership in all aspects of software development processes
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new software systems and enhancements to existing systems
  • Ensure all software engineering projects are delivered on time and to agreed quality standards
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
  • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and career development to team members
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues and implement resolution strategies

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in leadership roles
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, full-stack development, modern architectures, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proactive, adaptable, and flexible, with a willingness to continuously improve and experiment with new approaches and techniques
