Job Description:

The Insurance Specialist is responsible for processing and managing insurance policy applications, endorsements, renewals, certificates, and cancellations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Processing: Ensure all required information and documentation are complete and accurate for new insurance policy applications.
  • Policy Endorsements, Renewals, Cancellations: Handle endorsements, renewals, and cancellations promptly and efficiently.
  • Compliance: Review policy applications for adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation Management:
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files and policy records to ensure seamless access and retrieval.
  • Ensure all policy documentation is properly scanned, filed, and stored in a secure manner.
  • Generate and distribute policy documents to clients and relevant parties as needed.
Data Entry and Verification:
  • Enter policy information into the insurance management system accurately and efficiently to minimize errors.
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as needed to maintain data integrity.
  • Update and maintain client and policy information in the database to reflect current status.
Customer Support:
  • Assist clients with inquiries related to policy status, coverage details, and billing to provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide support to the customer service team by supplying necessary policy information to facilitate efficient issue resolution.
  • Communicate with clients, agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and address concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in commercial and personal lines property and casualty insurance processing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with insurance software such as Applied Epic, AMS 360, EZ Lynx, and CRM systems to leverage technology effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in insurance processing is highly desirable, along with familiarity with industry-specific software systems. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service are essential for success in this role.
