Cloud Data Architect

This role offers a unique opportunity to excel in technical leadership positions and grow your knowledge and experience in data architecture and engineering.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments, as well as experience with multiple full life-cycle data warehouse implementations.

Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of data architectures required to support data integration processing, and be able to provision and configure Azure data service resources.

Required skills include Python & SQL Scripting, SQL, PySpark, General Cloud Architecture competency skillset, API Knowledge, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, semantic modeling, and experience creating strategies to migrate customers from on-premise environments to Azure.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical decision-making; guidance and mentorship of more junior team members;
  • Developing relationships with project, client, and company leadership;
  • Designing and implementing logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments;
  • Implementing data architectures to support a variety of data formats and structures including structured, semi-structured and unstructured data;
  • Provisioning and configuring Azure data service resources;
  • Creating strategies to migrate customers from on-premise environments to Azure;
  • Ensuring alignment with our core values by providing direct and candid feedback to managers, leaders, and team members.
  • Requirements:
  • Experience leading small to medium sized technical teams;
  • Expertise in data modeling technologies such as ER/Studio, ER/Win or similar;
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, adopt and apply new technologies;
  • Data profiling and creation of source to target mappings;
  • API Knowledge is required;
  • General Cloud Architecture competency skillset;
  • Microsoft Fabric experience preferred;
  • Power BI and semantic modeling experience preferred.
