Automation Engineer - Fintech Expert

Job Description:

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team of experts in the fintech industry. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing test plans, test cases, and test suites to validate software functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.

You will also be responsible for utilizing defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla to report and track issues. Additionally, you will participate in CI/CD pipelines, integrating testing suites to support continuous delivery.

In this role, you will conduct API testing using tools like Karate to verify backend functionalities. You will maintain and update automated test scripts to adapt to changes in software features.

As a member of our team, you will analyze test results and provide feedback to stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues. You will contribute to improving testing processes and implementing best practices.

Responsibilities include performing regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across different environments and browsers. You will support UAT and production release cycles, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal defects.

You will document test evidence and maintain traceability to requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in automation testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience in test plan development, test case creation, execution, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus, showcasing a commitment to quality assurance standards.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting using Cypress and Selenium, with proven ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Karate is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using Cypress and WebdriverIO for front-end and end-to-end test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java-based frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, actively participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Skilled in using GitLab and Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
  • Solid background in testing both web and mobile applications (Android and iOS).
