Job Overview

As a Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and estimating patient cost-sharing responsibilities. You will determine the coverage of specific services, devices, and treatment modalities under patients' insurance plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Verify patients' insurance coverage through electronic systems or direct communication with insurance providers.
  • Review insurance policies and benefit summaries to determine coverage for medical services and devices.
  • Update patient records with verified insurance information and coverage details.
  • Estimate patients' out-of-pocket expenses, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance, for planned medical services or procedures.
  • Investigate and determine if specific medical services, devices, or treatment modalities are covered under patients' insurance plans.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert understanding of insurance benefits and coverage

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
