Job Title

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Senior Accountant. This individual will be responsible for managing financial tasks, preparing financial statements, and providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, as well as excellent communication skills. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a high level of attention to detail.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial tasks, including processing up to trial balance stage and preparing financial statements
  • Prepare business activity statements and installment activity statements
  • Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts and reconciling entries
  • Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and end-of-year compliance jobs
  • Experienced with division 7a loans
  • Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner
  • Prepare and update tax provision schedules
  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues
  • Mentor and review work for junior accountants
  • Requirements:
  • Graduate of accountancy or accounting technology; advantage if certified public accountant licensed
  • Minimum four years accounting and tax experience, with at least four years in AU tax accounting
  • Leadership capabilities and interested in leading a team in the future
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Attentive to details and organized
  • Good time management skills
