Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Bookkeeper and Tax Specialist to contribute to our organization's success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  2. Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  3. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
  4. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  5. Monitor and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
  6. Respond to tax-related inquiries and coordinate with tax authorities as needed
  7. Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment of employee salaries
  8. Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
  9. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits
  10. Provide support during the annual budget process and assist with financial forecasting

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to connect with people and provide exceptional customer service.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax preparation
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
