We are seeking a Credit Management Specialist to oversee aged debt reports, clear receipts from payments, and ensure timely client payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Generate and review aged debt reports to identify potential issues and areas for improvement
  2. Clear receipts and match them with corresponding payments in a timely manner
  3. Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices via phone and email, ensuring clear and transparent communication
  4. Negotiate payment commitments and follow up on timely payments, maintaining a positive working relationship with clients
  5. Perform credit checks on new clients and update credit limits accordingly, taking into account their financial history and creditworthiness
  6. Set up new clients in the system and maintain accurate records, including credit information and payment history
  7. Collaborate with the finance team to resolve payment discrepancies and improve overall cash flow management
  8. Monitor and report on collection progress to senior management, providing regular updates and recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Knowledge of credit checks and debt collection processes, including relevant laws and regulations
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on maintaining precise records and reports
