This is a leadership role in software engineering, where you will work on web architecture and analytics to empower colleagues, managers, and executives to make better decisions and deliver better work.

Job Description

The workplace engineering team specializes in building new tools, dashboards, and analytics. As a software engineer lead, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering web-based systems and SAAS.
  • Providing insights into the workplace experience.
  • Enabling new processes and improving existing workflows.
  • Collaborating with a distributed team.
  • Writing high-quality code to create new features.
  • Debugging issues and producing high-quality code to fix them.
  • Providing consistent code reviews to other engineers.
  • Discussing ideas and collaborating on finding good solutions.
  • Estimating work, setting goals, and meeting them.
  • Writing project specifications, epics, and understanding risks.
  • Understanding completion criteria and pushing work to completion.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback to junior team members while developing yourself.
  • Connecting to multiple data sources and providing insightful visualizations.
  • Database design and architecture for connected systems.
  • Developing new and improved working practices.
  • Providing tooling to support optimized processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be an expert in two or more of the following areas:

  • Backend web service programming in Python and Node.JS.
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Data analytics and statistical analysis.
  • Natural language processing, sentiment analysis, machine learning.
  • Data visualization.

You should have a passion for experimentation and analytics to build tomorrow's tech organization. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in software engineering principles.
