About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Romance Editor to join our team in strengthening manuscripts from draft to polished novel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of grammar, dialogue pacing, and formatting, as well as advanced knowledge of contemporary romance tropes and genre expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Developmental & Line Editing: Enhance character development, refine emotional arcs, and sharpen pacing to deliver a satisfying happily-ever-after.
  • Elevate trope delivery while maintaining the author's unique voice.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional editing experience in contemporary romance.
  • A portfolio showcasing 3+ published romance novels edited (please provide ISBNs or retailer links).
  • Strong ghostwriting or scene drafting skills.
  • Advanced expertise in grammar, dialogue pacing, and formatting.
