Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to assist in the execution and delivery of our client accounting services. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing general accounting activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements. They will also oversee and execute month-end and year-end close procedures, including accruals, adjustments, and reporting timelines.

Additional responsibilities include performing regular reconciliations, including vendor, debtor, and bank accounts, and conducting variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies. The Accountant will also oversee employee expense reporting, ensuring adherence to company policies and accurate reimbursement processes.

In this role, you will prepare and post general ledger (GL) entries and journals, maintaining control over the integrity of financial data. You will also compute and support direct and indirect tax calculations, ensuring alignment with current tax laws and audit requirements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and risk management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting operations, preferably in accounting services.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
